Torrents - 2010 June 30 WE

On today's Jones show, Alex talked briefly at the end of the second hour with
Dan Dicks of Press for Truth, an alternative media operation in Toronto, Canada. Dan will talk about the G20 and the arrest of Charlie Veitch of The Love Police who was abducted before he could get on a plane and fly back to England. Veitch was arrested for a second time by Canadian authorities for “impersonating a police officer” on a bogus charge designed purely to cover for the fact that Veitch’s original arrest on June 24 for refusing to show ID at the was based on a law that didn’t exist and one that Toronto’s Chief of Police lied about to media outlets before the G20 summit.
Veitch was scheduled to appear in court this afternoon [the court session to begin at 2:00 p.m. Toronto time]. Dicks hoped to be able to facilitate Charlie's release on bond and get back in contact with Alex/staff as soon as possible afterward. Alex said he would go into an OverDrive segment if necessary, but none occurred, likely indicating that he had not heard anything yet from Toronto by the time the regular show ending time came.

In commenting on recent FBI arrests of the Russian spy ring, Alex made it clear that he disagrees with Webster Tarpley's interpretation [and seems mostly to accept the federal government's version of the story]. If you've not already seen Tarpley being interviewed about this on Monday, I suggest watching it to more fully inform yourself. It's only about seven minutes here:

Miscellaneous Updates ::

There does not appear to have been an episode of Guns and Butter today. The KPFA website does say that sometimes the show alternates with other programming in the 1:00 p.m. Wednesday [Pac Time] time slot, but I cannot even find an indication of what "other programming" may have aired today.

Fenopy.com, which was down about this time yesterday has been back up since at least mid-day today. Uploading, however, continues to be "temporarily suspended."

Here's the latest I've been able to gather regarding Charlie Veitch. This info comes via SL via "TriWooOx," a forum moderator at ConCen.org who apparently has some connection to The Love Police. Charlie was released on a $500 bond and ordered to appear in court again on August 23. I'm guessing today was arraignment and the August date will be for trial, but I am unfamiliar with the Canadian criminal "justice" system, so that is only a guess. I also do not know yet if he's ordered to remain in-country or if he'll be returning home in the interim. I look for a few more details to be made public on tomorrow's Jones show [starring Ron Paul] perhaps Alex will even have Charlie and/or Dan on the show for a bit.
