I was away from my computer until about halfway through hour one of today's show, so I am relying on GCN podcast files to edit for my torrent. When I began editing the first hour's file I found that it began with nearly two minutes of dead air. In the first few seconds you hear Alex say, "Is everything good Wes?" A couple of seconds later he says, "I'm getting an echo." Then it is dead air until about 1:57 when we get Alex in the middle of a sentence. Clearly he had been talking during most of that time.
Rather than accept a show with the first two minutes missing, I am going to wait and download the audio that PrisonPlanet uploads in the members' section, in hopes that those first minutes will be present there. If they are not I will download the video of the broadcast. If the missing minutes are present in the video, then I'll extract that audio and edit it for the torrent. Either way, the torrent will not be uploaded until an hour or two later than usual.
It would be nice to use this time to edit today's No Agenda show, but it is not yet available online. I checked Adam Curry's twitter page and saw this from "about 4 hours ago": Live now with No Agenda 228. The post immediately prior to that, once again showing to be from approximately 4 hour ago, stated:
No internet for @therealdvorak today and saw Eat Love Pray last night. Life officially sucks this weekend. "THErealDVORAK" is John C. Dvorak's nick on Twitter.
Bottom line: I will do what I can, when I can.
