To Tweet or Not to Tweet

Yes, that is the question.

Someone recently requested that I create a presence on Twitter, because it would be "way easier to get the information out that way."

To be frank, I have been thinking about creating a Twitter account. As of now I am at the point of trying to figure out (a) what I could do on Twitter that I can't do on this blog -- and/or the other blog -- or (b) what I could do better via Twitter.

I am not opposed to giving Twitter a try, I just don't want it to turn into something that is going to require still more of my time than I am currently committing to the general "cause" of trying to get more information into the hands of more people. There are, after all, only so many hours in each day.

Then there's the chance that I might find using Twitter to be fun, and I could surely benefit from more fun in my day to day life.

Please take minute to comment on this. I sincerely want to hear your advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Billy From UK here. Personally I get your RSS feed via the add-on "RSS Ticker" for Firefox. Your updates run across the menu bar like a stock ticker as soon as they're posted and I don't have to login to twitter to see anything.

I am highly suspicious of twitter anyway. Why use a private company that probably data mines all sorts of information you wouldn't want it to anyway? RSS Ticker pings your page every so often for when you set it to and essentially you cut out the middleman.

As the old saying goes, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Similarly, Facebook, Google, Hotmail, etc. all come with a sneaky snooping privacy free downside.

Thanks for all your efforts with the info sharing! We are all doing our little bits to tame the man.

i do not use twitter. i will not use twitter. i do not see the value in sebaygo1 on twitter.

if i were you, i would move this blog off google's servers. there are a lot of free blog hosts that are not google owned.

dude forget twitter, this blog is the way to go mate. The RSS Ticker is awsome, and twitter is just another data mining outfit.

Twitter? lol

Speaking of blogs, you can run a server like XAMPP with Wordpress or standalone Thinkamablog. :)

I'm with everyone else - forget about Twitter. Its easy enough to come to your blog and get the links and easy to email to others too.

Thanks for polling us!

I think you should definitely get a twitter. Alex Jones is on twitter. Go were the battle is!

The people saying it's to risky to get a twitter because of surveillance or whatever is WAAAAYYYYY to paranoid. That's jumping the shark and then some.

Please consider it and let us know your decision.

@Anonymous, I believe I understand your line of reasoning. But I am not aware of how Alex Jones uses Twitter, and I am not sure exactly how you think I should use it. Would you mind elaborating?
Thanks.

Well, for one thing, twitter is a huge community and I'm pretty sure you'd get a pretty good following.

People can tweet your download links to anyone and everybody trying to get the word out.

You can update us when you're headed on vacation so someone can pick up the slack with the uploads on the days that you are off.

Only good can come from this honestly.

I like your blog but I think social networks like twitter is better for a wider audience. It's the future of the INFOWAR lol.

But yeah. I really hope you get one.

I bet if you tweeted Alex about the job you are doing he'd respond or something.

Think about it man. Give it a shot.
