Egypt sees Gaza conflict ending on Tuesday

Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi said on Tuesday that "Israeli aggression" against Gaza would end later in the day, the Egyptian state news agency MENA reported.

I'll believe it when I see it. And Israel has a long history of breaking cease fires (they broke one when they assassinated the military commander of HAMAS, who was looking at a draft of a truce offered by Israel when he was blown to bloody shreds). I would not rule out a ground attack during the US Thanksgiving holiday when Americans are going to be distracted by football, parades, and doped up on tryptophan from the Turkey!

I think Morsi may have waked into a trap. Morsi is quickly emerging as a unifying force in the Middle East, something neither Israel nor the US are happy about. This is why Hillary is racing to Cairo to get her photo taken with Morsi and take credit for peace during her 2016 campaign, which is kind of hypocritical given that she represents a nation leading the globe into World War 3.

For Israel's part, it makes sense for them to tell Morsi they will cease hostilities, then launch a ground attack to damage Morsi's credibility.

UPDATE: CNN's Wolf Blitzer (former spokesman for AIPAC) is interviewing an Israeli official who denies there is a cease fire deal or that they are even close to one. This official is saying that Israel's attacks on Gaza will continue.

BREAKING: Truce/Cease-Fire Agreement Proclaimed by Hamas Official (in German)

A temporary end to the violence in Gaza is in sight: A cease-fire between Israel and Hamas is to enter into force already on Tuesday evening. This was announced by a Hamas spokesman in Cairo. The Israeli government says, still no final agreement was reached.

Zionist regime rejects Palestinians ceasefire

The Zionist regime of Israel rejected the suggestions offered by Palestinians concerning a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

According to the coming news, Secretary General of Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramadhadn Abdollah Shalah, said the Zionist regime has informed Egypt's officials their rejection of the ceasefire proposed by the Resistance.

He said we've called for an immediate stop cease of fire and removal of the blockade imposed on Gaza.

Palestinian People's Party official Walid al-Awad said Israel is asking for a halt to rockets for 48 hours in exchange for stopping airstrikes as a first stage of a truce deal.

In the second stage, Israel promised to study factions' other demands, including lifting the blockade, stopping all military operations, and ending the targeting of Palestinian fishermen off Gaza's coast, al-Awad said.

This is classic Israeli approach to negotiations. "Give us what we want now, and maybe later on we'll talk about giving something back." And of course they never do. This deal was designed to fail and again Morsi walked into a trap saying a cease fire was imminent.

The Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has unanimously approved a request from Defense Minister Ehud Barak to increase the number of reserves soldiers called up for duty to 70,000.

"In light of a discussion I had this morning with the Prime Minister, I can say for sure that continuing the call-up of reservists remains relevant, and the IDF is preparing for all scenarios," committee head MK Ronnie Bar-On (Kadima) told the committee.

During the meeting committee members heard from top military officials, among them the head of IDF intelligence.

The IAF dropped leaflets across northern Gaza on Tuesday urging local Arab civilians to evacuate immediately.

"For your own safety, you are required to immediately evacuate your homes and move toward Gaza City center," the Arabic-language flyers said, AFP reports. The pamphlets noted which roads would be safe to use for evacuation.

The move lent strength to predictions of an impending ground operation in Gaza.

Israel absolutely cannot exist in an environment of peace. She has to be in constant conflict with her neighbors in order to survive. A conflict is like the air that she breathes."

The Zionist entity survives through conflict with its neighbors, with the support of the United States and Britain, a prominent activist tells Press TV.
