DIY Taser-Proof Clothing Now Possible

From Hackaday via Cory Doctorow.
With carbon fiber tape you can make a high-quality Taser / stun gun proof clothing from your jacket, vest, hoodie, trousers, coat or gloves. The carbon fiber textile can be procured in a variety of forms, including upholstery fabric (58" wide, $19.50/yard) and peel-and-stick 50cm tape rolls. The claim is that this will work even if the taser's prongs get to the wearer's body: "Electric current flows through the carbon tape and not through the human body. Always. Even if the taser's needle pierced the skin."

My initial reaction to this news was, "oooh, I could make one of those maybe."

But almost immediately this question arose in my mind: "What's a hero-cop who is pissed-off by your non-reaction to being "tased" most likely to do NEXT?
