US Concession: No Death for Snowden, Great Pacific Garbage Patch in Depth, Halliburton Crimes

On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin goes over the US government's attempts to have NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden extradited to the US, suggesting to Russian officials that the Department of Justice will not be seeking the death penalty against Snowden. Abby then talks to RT correspondent Ramon Galindo, about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which actually refers to several floating islands of garbage found in nearly every major body of water on the planet, discussing how this came to be and what effects its having on humanity and the environment. Abby then remarks on the news that Halliburton has pled guilty to destroying evidence related to the 2010 BP oil spill, calling out the petro-giant for its long list of criminality and heavy influence over the US government. BTS wraps up the show with an exclusive interview with Reni Manukya, wife of Ibragim Todashev, the Florida resident who was killed by federal agents alleging a connection between him and the Boston Bombings. They discuss what motives the government had for raiding Todashev's home and ultimately taking his life, as well as the secrecy surrounding the case after the event.
