Three women have died in a stampede at a Halloween party in Madrid, Spanish officials say.
They say that two more people were seriously injured at the gathering at the Madrid Arena.
It was not immediately known what caused the crush, but reports suggest the panic began after a flare was thrown in the crowd.

Looters who are taking advantage of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy are posting photographs of their stolen goods on Twitter and bragging about how they plan to carry out more thefts and violence.
Shocking images posted to the social networking website depict individuals who appear to be working together boasting about how they have stolen laptops, TV's, and other electronics from both stores and private homes that fell victim to the hurricane.

With the mess of Hurricane Sandy in New York City over the last few days, we have been hearing a lot about mandatory evacuations for people in Zone A: areas in Staten Island, lower Manhattan, and eastern Brooklyn (Red Hook and Greenpoint especially). To meet the needs of these Sandy evacuees, Bloomberg opened 65 additional shelters across the five boroughs, stocking these makeshift shelters--high schools, middle schools, etc.--with food, water, blankets, and pet food.
Still exploiting Sandy for agendas.

Thank goodness for the internet! Were it not for this near-instantaneous information-distribution medium, Pastor John McTernan would not be able to get international attention for being among the first wingnut preachers to proclaim that Hurricane Sandy is obviously God's vengeance on America for some perceived sin. In this particular case, the Almighty is going to cause randomized death and destruction along the East Coast of the US to punish random people for a diplomatic conference attended by George HW Bush in 1991:
Hurricane Sandy is hitting 21 years to the day of the Perfect Storm of October 20, 1991. I write about this in my book as America Has Done to Israel. [sic] This was the day that President George Bush Sr. initiated the Madrid Peace Process to divide the land of Israel, including Jerusalem. America has been under God's judgment since this event.
FEMA may not have enough for flood damages
