The Peter Schiff Show -- 2011 Aug 29 MO

Today was Peter's premiere broadcast on the Radio America network. His time slot overlapped hours 2 and 3 of The Alex Jones Show, making recording his streaming audio a little bit of a pain in the neck.

Peter has left the Genesis Communications Network, although the PR office at GCN did not see fit to reply to my of three days ago inquiring about the status of his show.

Things are a little different at Radio America. GCN provided free hourly podcast files of the Schiff show at 64 kbps quality (with commercials left in). Radio America appears to do the same sort of thing with their shows -- even for their highest profile host, G. Gordon Liddy -- with the exception of The Peter Schiff Show. You must log in with your Schiff Radio subscriber username and password in order to access Peter's current podcasts and archive.

It's hard not to speculate that this might be part of the reason Peter jumped networks. I doubt that any explanation will ever be given by any of the parties involved.

The timing of today's Schiff show, plus the fact that our air conditioner repairman was back for a couple of hours around mid-day, resulted in me recording Peter's entire show with commercials in one big two-hour file. It's always easier to edit an hour file, but I have what I have today.

I also had a plumber here this afternoon to fix a broken toilet [hey, 40 year old houses are going to have problems]. The bottom line is that it's now 5:00 p.m. and I have not started working on the Schiff show yet. I will get it done, and put it up as soon as is feasible this evening. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
