Relocation Update - May 10 TU

We are finally getting closer to "set in stone" dates as to when big things will be happening. These dates are basically +/- one day as it stands now.

The movers should be here on either the 17th or 18th to do the major packing. Their representative is here now doing a pre-packing evaluation and letting us know what kinds of items they will not transport. I think we will get a confirmation on a definite packing date tomorrow.

The day after they pack, they'll return with the truck and load it all up to be taken to storage. We will probably be renting a small UHaul truck that will carry clothes, computers, etc. that will go with us to the corporate housing and will be towing our car.

We hope to move into the corporate apartment no later than the 20th, and I hope to be back to more-or-less regular work here on the following day (depending mostly on whether internet access is already set up).

Update:

Gosh! When it rains, it pours. My wife just called from our self-storage unit to tell me that her car won't start.

We had the car towed to the local Chevrolet dealership [since the SATURN dealership doesn't exist anymore... thank you very much, GM!] and we will not have a diagnosis and cost estimate until sometime Wednesday. Hoping like crazy that it's not something catastrophic.
