On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin remarks on the 70 Nepali migrant works who have died as a result of unsafe working conditions in the run up to the Qatar World Cup. Abby then calls out the corporate media for their game-show style coverage of the government shutdown whilst ignoring other stories such as Israel's fear mongering at the UNGA, and California's recent ban the NDAA indefinite detention provision. Abby then speaks with Margaret Flowers, Organizer for Popular Resistance about why fast tracking the TPP is so dangerous to the democratic process, and why everyone should care about this "free trade deal". BTS wraps up the show with an interview with comedian Joe Rogan, host of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, discussing everything from psychedelic drugs to violence in the UFC.
