On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin talks about the closure of the San Onofre nuclear plant. Abby then talks to Irina Galushko, from on the ground in Istanbul, about the latest developments involving Turkey unrest, Erdogon's attitude and protestor demands. Abby then outlines Wal Mart's annual shareholders meeting, which was headlined by multiple pop stars and Hollywood celebrities. She goes over how Wal-Mart is swallowing up the world, citing examples of sexual discrimination, environmental pollution, disregard for workers' safety, and costing tax-payers millions of dollars. BTS wraps up the show with an interview with Jeffery Smith, executive director for the institute for responsible technology, about all news GMO, lawsuits against Monsanto, cross-pollination, proven health-effects, revolving door, and the rising movement for GMO labeling.
