HYPING THE HURRICANE? No eye, winds just barely into Cat 1. Relatives in the path say they don't see what all the fuss is about. Expecting rain but not much else. Typical winter storm.

Distraction? Grandstanding opportunity for Obama?

News reports regarding Sandy are indeed a bit of an exaggeration. They continue to show a pier in Atlantic City that has collapsed, and keep stating that this collapsed prior to the worst of the storm. What they don't tell you is a report that disappeared last night that this pier had already been damaged before ANY storm hit and was weakened long before the storm even came along.

IF SANDY CAUSES LARGE AMOUNTS OF DAMAGE IT IS BECAUSE THE INFRASTRUTURE HAS BEEN NEGLECTED FOR DECADES.

September 12, 1960: Hurricane Donna: Donna, having devastated Florida moved up the east coast and made landfall over Long Island again. Sustained winds of 105mph were recorded on Long Island and Rhode Island. New York City's harbor reported a 3.5-foot storm surge, which wrecked several piers.

Crew of HMS Bounty forced to abandon ship as Hurricane Sandy bears down on East Coast

A majestic tall ship featured in one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies was sunk Monday by Hurricane Sandy.

The 17-man crew of the HMS Bounty abandoned ship off North Carolina's Outer Banks before the vessel headed for Davy Jones' Locker, the Coast Guard reported.

But two or three members of the crew were still missing and the Coast Guard was battling 40 mph winds and 18-foot-high seas to find them.

"We certainly hope for the best, but we're preparing for the worst," Coast Guard Vice Adm. Robert Parker told ABC's "Good Morning America."

It was not clear why the 180-foot ship was plying those waters, but the first distress call came late Sunday from the owner reporting he had lost contact with the crew.

This is/was the Bounty built for the 1962 remake of "Mutiny on the Bounty". Built for the movies, it was never designed or intended for heavy usage and in fact briefly lost its Coast Guard certification 12 years ago, requiring the hull to be replanked. The story is that the ship was due to sail to Florida and the Captain decided he could "skirt" the storm to get their on time.

A Hawaii tsunami warning that spurred coastal evacuations statewide was downgraded to a tsunami advisory early Sunday, ending the threat of serious damage less than three hours after the first waves hit the islands.

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie said early Sunday that the Aloha State was lucky to avoid more severe surges after a powerful earthquake struck off the coast of Canada.

Abercrombie said beaches and harbours are still closed statewide.

Well, that's one way to keep her silent while the media frames her!

Market Watch still runs story of $43 trillion lawsuit against US banks after CNBC erases their version following murder of CNBC executive's children.

Spire Law Group, LLP's national home owners' lawsuit, pending in the venue where the "Banksters" control their $43 trillion racketeering scheme (New York) - known as the largest money laundering and racketeering lawsuit in United States History and identifying $43 trillion ($43,000,000,000,000.00) of laundered money by the "Banksters" and their U.S. racketeering partners and joint venturers - now pinpoints the identities of the key racketeering partners of the "Banksters" located in the highest offices of government and acting for their own self-interests.

This story about the lawsuit broke Thursday at CNBC. Here is the saved page.

Now following the original CNBC link takes you to a blank page, even though some of the comments on that original article remain (UPDATE: comments have been erased as well).

Here the story takes a dark turn! It turns out that Kevin Krim, the father of the two children stabbed to death, allegedly by the Nanny, is SVP and General Manager, CNBC Digital! And shortly after the murder of the children, CNBC pulled down the story regarding the lawsuit against the banks!

How long will the story remain at Marketwatch before it is "Orwellized?"

Are the children of the executives at Marketwatch even now in danger?

As a side note, the official story regarding the murders is that the nanny stabbed the children, then tried to slash her own throat. Suicide by cutting ones own throat is extremely rare, less than one percent of all suicides, and is primarily committed by men with military experience. Women committing suicide by slashing their own throat is almost unheard of!

While the corporate-owned media is proclaiming the "rush to judgement" guilt of the nanny (who has survived but cannot yet speak) she has not actually been charged yet, nor is there any apparent motive for the nanny to have done such a thing.
