Bibi loses it for Israel

In the film Alien versus Predator 1, humankind takes sides against a formidable monster whose sheer cruelty and resourcefulness poses a threat to the security of the planet, a monster which impregnates its victims with parasites which live off their blood and then destroy them as the spawn of this hideous creature is born.

Benjamin Netanyahu may be a lot of things, but "intelligent" is not his middle name. In fact there are those who call him an overgrown errand boy, which is how he began his life in politics. Israel's decision to forge ahead with plans to built a colony for 3,000 settlers in East Jerusalem, cutting off a Palestinian community from the rest of the Palestinian Authority lands, a decision which directly breaches international law, is where Israel has crossed the red line.

Of course, Israelis cannot ever admit error, and as you can see further down this page, Netanyahu is already claiming that the United States is "plotting" to turn the world against Israel over the settlements issue.

Supporting a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict feels increasingly like clinging onto a cliff edge while someone with heavy boots stamps on your fingers. The boots were Israeli on Monday. Having spun the line that European governments had misunderstood Israel`s plan to create a settlement that would cut the West Bank in two and separate it from East Jerusalem, the prime minister's office vowed that nothing would alter their decision. The European diplomatic protest was, by its meek standards, unprecedented. Israeli ambassadors were summoned in Britain, France, Sweden and Spain but none of the four threatened any concrete measures to punish Israel. They should have.

Yes, the pity party is definitely over. The rest of the world is fed up with Israel. They are fed up with Jewish power; they are fed up with the wars; and all of the goodwill that the rest of the world entertained for the Jewish people in the aftermath of World War II that basically was the currency that was used to create Israel and the currency that has bought the silence of the world in the face of all of this brutality and oppression that Israel has inflicted upon the Palestinians, that currency now has lost its value. It doesn't exist anymore; it's a bank account that has been bled dry.

UN calls on Israel to open nuclear facilities

The U.N. General Assembly has overwhelmingly approved a resolution calling on Israel to quickly open its nuclear program for inspection and backing a high-level conference to ban nuclear weapons from the Middle East which was just canceled.

All the Arab nations and Iran had planned to attend the conference in mid-December in Helsinki, Finland, but the United States announced on Nov. 23 that it wouldn't take place, citing political turmoil in the region and Iran's defiant stance on nonproliferation. Iran and some Arab nations countered that the real reason for the cancellation was Israel's refusal to attend.


Israel rejects UN call for nuclear transparency
