A severe DDoS attack has brought down one of the most famous BitTorrent trackers. Demonoid has been inaccessible to its millions of users for more than a day and is expected to remain offline for quite some time. The tech admin of the troubled BitTorrent tracker told TorrentFreak that the issues at hand are not easy to fix, and suggests that aside from the DDoS there might have been an attack from another angle.

I have been following this closely, trying to work out the said tale of what happened, , and this is what I have found!

The one Gun Man Official Narrative Known so far

A single person entered the theatre #9 entrance. At some point a person exits, and keeps the door from locking.  The car closest to that Exit is the accused shooters' vehicle.

The movie trailers rolled and 10-20 minutes into the movie a shooter enters a theatre #9 back exit,  This event follows 2 dispersals of canisters of a gas of some sorts.  This was taken by most in the theatre as a movie prop for opening night.  Less than a minute later, terror insues.  The full events of the massacre itself, even from people closest to the tragedy in the theatre, are confusing, and seeing as it officially was an event claiming to take 60-90 seconds, according to some (lets not break that narrative).  The person then exited that theatre though a back exit, possibly the same entered.

There is a Victim and her female friend attending to a face shot near the corner of the theatre and the corner of theatre #8.  Officially, Not sure if the shooter is checking theatre #8 doors or heading to off the females, but a person at the far end of theatre 8, curious about gunshots and a few people shot looks for an exit and opens the far to the right back exit (facing the back) and sees the 2 victims, he ushers them in doors, but while doing so, sees the shooter approaching and closes the exit door, the shooter bangs on it a few times, then stops.

Blood, assuming from the female face shot victim was found outside the theatre 8 exit,  The gas mask that has been wondered about was also found in the direct area, again assumingly the shooter knew he couldn't get in, tossed the gas mask, thinking it's over and headed back to his vehicle.

Reports after that seem to cement into, he was found in SWAT like gear some minutes later around his vehicle, apparently talking like the Joker. None of that really has independant confirmation though. There is confirmation of a back exit camera that was placed to show the whole back exit of #9 and 75% or so of #8 (as it appears, the exit the gas mask was thrown away at, might not be covered by any footage though.)

Suspected killer goes to jail and reportedly acts like the Joker, 2 days later appears in court obviously
"dazed and confused" for whatever reason....  maybe a long sleep later, the accused claims he doesn't know why he is in jail, claiming amnesia...

The title fairly well says it all. I have chosen to not embed the YouTube video here, because it is so graphic and so heart-rending that some people will not be able to watch it in anything approaching its entirety. I know Mrs. S would not be able to handle it. I know I barely did.

I do, however, encourage you to give it a try. The victim of this horrific incident was incarcerated for a term of 1.5 to 4 years in prison... for four counts of aggravated assault on a police officer. At trial (after waiting for six months in jail) he was found not guilty of the other TWENTY fictional charges. Please help spread this video!

This video will probably sicken and enrage you. It did me. It also caused me to ask myself a lot of questions, not the least of which was: When did the Pennsylvania State Police begin hiring non-humans?

Two years ago, 31 year old Robert Leone was driving late at night when he failed to pull over for a state trooper car. Mr. Leone did not speed or attempt to avoid the troopers, and was eventually successfully "pulled over" and driven into a ditch. A police car blocked his door, and he was instructed to get out. After attempting to tell the trooper that he could not get out, he was shocked repeatedly with a taser, and was forced out of the car from the other side. The troopers then proceeded to brutally beat and tase him while he lay facedown on the ground. During this assault, one trooper punched Leone in the face and broke his hand. Afterwards, they pulled him into the car, handcuffed. After claiming that Leone had spit on one of them, the Troopers began beating and tasing him once again after hog-tying him in the back, as they decided that the cuffs were not enough restraint. Leone was then taken to the hospital for treatment. However, one of the troopers overheard Leone begging one of the nurses for help, claiming that the troopers had beaten him. Upon hearing this, the troopers ordered all hospital personnel out of the room and proceeded to beat Mr. Leone once again for trying to inform the staff. He was then taken from the hospital untreated and incarcerated [without being xray-ed or CAT-scanned in spite of obvious severe head trauma, and without blood being taken to test for alcohol or drugs].

Michael Rivero mentioned this video in passing on his Monday broadcast, saying that a lot of people had sent him the video (I expect he meant the link to it). It appears to be about two weeks old online, from an HBO series that I had not previously heard of: The Newsroom.

After two weeks the view count on YouTube is approaching 600,000. I'm not sure what he threshold for "viral" is, but this must be getting close.

RBN posted all three hours of podcast files for the WRH show today, but I do not regret having recorded the whole thing. The missing files on Thursday and Friday may have been due to simple oversights and a huge coincidence, but I am cynical and it is going to take some days worth of normal performance before I am going to feel safe NOT recording.

I have things set up to record today's show from the live stream in hopes of avoiding the games that have been played with podcast files recently. Probably the only thing that could interfere is a power outage. I mention this because there are scattered thunderstorms in the area. Today's show has started (thunder is getting louder) and Mike began by announcing that Tuesday through Friday of this week Ryan Dawson will be guest-hosting for him while he takes his wife to the "World Choir Games."

What Really Happened with Michael Rivero -- 2012 July 06 FR (partial)

Well, it happened again and I am starting to wonder if this is an error on the part of someone at the Republic Broadcasting Network, or if it is a deliberate action to prevent people [i.e., non-subscribers] from being able to download the entire show on the same day it is broadcast.

Yesterday, only hours 1 and 3 were made available. Hour 2 showed up this morning... with a date/timestamp that pretended it had been uploaded at the same time 1 & 3 were the day before.

Today there is only access to hours 1 and 2. My intention is to edit and upload these to the file hosts, and then to re-do the show in its entirety when hour 3 is released -- hopefully tomorrow.

That error was corrected today, so I am redoing the posting with the inclusion of a bit torrent upload as well.

Swarms of "Nano Air" Drones in your Not Distant Future

Lockheed Martin began work on the Samarai in 2007 under a Defense Department program called "nano air," designed to produce "an extremely small, ultra lightweight air vehicle system."

Imagine a cheap, tiny, hovering aerial drone capable of being launched with the flick of a person’s wrist and able to provide manipulable 360-degree surveillance views.

It’s real, it’s inspired by maple seeds, and the company behind it, Lockheed Martin, envisions a future in which swarms of the new drones can be deployed at a fraction of the cost and with greater capabilities than drones being used today by the military and other agencies.

"Think about dropping a thousand of these out of an aircraft," said Bill Borgia, head of Lockheed Martin’s Intelligent Robotics Lab... "Think about the wide area over which one collect imagery. Instead of sending one or two expensive, highly valuable aircraft like we do today, you could send thousands of these inexpensive aircraft, and they are almost expendable."

Borgia said that the drone, or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), was designed to be deployed in confined settings, such as urban environments or even inside buildings, where it could be piloted into different rooms and hover outside of windows, collecting surveillance footage with ease.

As of this posting, about two and a half hours after today's broadcast ended, there is no podcast file available from Republic Broadcasting for the 2nd hour. This looks like it is strictly a simple error at the network. There's no mention on Mike's web site of any problems during hour 2, and nothing is said during hour 3 to indicate that any technical issues had been encountered.

Alan did not post to his web site anything about this broadcast Wednesday night (links or .mp3). The audio file from which I edited out the commercials came from the Republic Broadcasting Network.

As usual, Alan announced the date during the first minute of the show. Unfortunately, the audio quality was so poor that I was not able to distinguish anything more than "2012," even after normalizing the gain. This IS what was aired by RBN tonight in Alan's timeslot. Whether it was a live show, I do not know. If memory serves, Alan did a live show last July 4th, and other RBN shows were live today. I really wish this audio was better.

Update: Diceman advises that this IS a repeat.
