If this is a hoax, it's a cruel one coming so few days after the killing of MegaUpload.
My fear is that it is true. BTJunkie is a name perhaps not as well known as The Pirate Bay and a handful of others, but throughout its life was a big, strong workhorse in the BitTorrent system. It had nearly 4,000,000 active torrents and about 4,200 torrents added daily (compared to runner-up Torrent Portal with 1,500), making it the largest torrent site indexer on the web. During 2011, BTJunkie was the 5th most popular BitTorrent site. They will be missed.
"The times," it seems, may well be "a-changin'."

JUst checked. I am sad that everyone is jumping off the wagon because of the draconian laws. Fell like shit....
I have to say, this afternoon when I first learned of what had happened, it felt like a real kick in the gut.
