The Alex Jones Show -- 2012 Feb 15 WE

From the Infowars web site :: Alex talks with the New York Times best-selling author, blogger, and survival retreat consultant James Wesley Rawles. His latest book, Survivors: A Novel of the Coming Collapse, is available at the Infowars Store. Rawles is the editor of SurvivalBlog.com, a popular blog on survival and preparedness topics. The blog has been described as "the guiding light of the prepper movement." Rawles also authored the international bestseller How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It: Tactics, Techniques, and Technologies for Uncertain Times, a non-fiction book drawn primarily from posts featured on his blog.

Alex also talks with British politician and outspoken critic of the European Union, Nigel Farage. He is the leader of the UK Independence Party and is a Member of the European Parliament. Farage also co-chairs the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group.

Today's broadcast went 5 minutes into a 4th hour "overDrive."

NOTE: Though there has been no notice posted on the PrisonPlanet.tv web site, it is becoming evident that the all-in-one-mp3 "members' edit audio file posted for each day's radio show is no longer commercial-free. My best estimate for today's file in particular is that about 80 percent of the commercials were left in, as were all of the various personal endorsements of products by Alex and plugs for the Infowars store and the supplement marketing company at InfowarsTeam.com that appear at random times during the broadcasts.

Editing all of this out of a three hour long recording is more time consuming than editing each of the hourly podcast files provided by the GCN radio network. I switched some months ago from working with the GCN files to the PP members' edit, in an effort to work smarter -- i.e., to let Alex's paid staff take the commercials out for me, since I have a subscription. That advantage has essentially vanished now. Also the GCN files are of equal quality, and are made available online in a much more prompt and reliable manner. So my intent is to switch back to editing GCN files tomorrow. Initially it could take a little more time, but I expect to readjust to it fairly quickly.
