It has cooled down to about 91 degrees F. outside (from a high this afternoon of 94). It's 80.8 and sticky in the computer room. Our air conditioning unit quit sometime after lunch today. Hopefully we'll have a service person out sometime tomorrow.
I guess if it is going to happen, better now than at some point later in the summer when it's 104 or 106 or 108. In fact, thinking of what certainly lies ahead, I feel a little guilty for complaining about this.
Growing up, we had no air conditioning in our house until I was 16. That summer my father bought a small window unit that we ran for about six hours each night during the hottest part of the summer. Spoiled now? Why, yes, yes I am.
